If you’re physically or mentally exhausted, it’s time to take a rest. Breaks help you to stay motivated and focused and reduce the risk of mistakes and accidents. Several short breaks are a better way to recover than one long one.
There are lots of ways to take a rest. You can simply allow your mind to wander on a lift ride. Taking in the view and working out what you can see is always a welcome distraction. In very cold temperatures and high winds, you should seek out somewhere warm for your break. Eating and drinking replenish your body’s energy.
